There is a place in the world that is welcoming. There is a place in the world that calls out to you in a way that no place else can.
There is love and solace in your home. There are kindred spirits in your workplace. But both places have baggage. Both places stipulate the appropriate way to think and feel and behave. They are important places. They anchor you to your life and your love and the people who matter most to you.
But they can’t give you everything. They can’t give you the sense of appreciative love and freedom you need. They can’t eliminate your sense of obligation. They can’t give you the absence of demands on your mind, your soul, your body. For that, you need a third place. You’ve found it. It’s here.
My friends, I think I’ve found what I want to do in this next phase of my life. I want to create The 3rd Place. You may have heard of it. It’s not new.
I will write more about it. In the interim, know this: The 3rd Place is the place you want to spend your time. It’s a place where you can feel at home, where you can enjoy the company of friends and strangers. Where there will be no strangers, not for long.
I want/I need some help to make it happen. If you’re interested, tell me. We can make this work!
You already have this place in your life, John. Many of them.
