I don’t know quite what to do to celebrate my late sister’s birthday tomorrow, November 2. She died February 19, 2010. I guess I’ll just remember how remarkable she was. She, more than anyone I know, made me understand why compassion for the less fortunate among us is the best characteristic any of us can have.
