Lost It

Somehow, I managed to lose my new cell phone.  Like, it vanished into thin air. I was standing in the parking lot of the Hot Springs Village Chamber of Commerce, talking to someone about the fact that I sometimes fail to answer calls because I have the volume turned down low and don’t feel the phone vibrating.  The phone was in my hand.  A moment later, when I got into my car, I realized I did not have the phone in my hand.  I looked all around the car.  I looked in the parking lot. I thought, “it must have fallen between the seats…I’ll find it when I get home.”

I didn’t find it when I got home.  I called my number, using my wife’s phone, while I sat in the car, listening for a ring or vibrations.  Nothing. I returned to the parking lot.  No phone. I walked back into the CoC office; no phone there.  It just disappeared.

Today, I’ll call the Police Department to see if it was turned it.  In the interim, I’ve suspended service.  If it doesn’t show up, I’ll have to get a new one.

Crap.  Double crap.  And triple crap.
