April 2: Thoughts for the Day

“You can lead a horticulture but you can’t make her think.”

“I’d rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.”

The first quote is from Dorothy Parker.  The second one is sometimes said to be from her, but I’ve found no evidence of it. Tom Waits claimed to have read it on a bathroom wall; but so have others claimed the same thing.

The point is not who said or wrote them, the point is that they are clever word play.
