Dimming of the Day

This song has been playing and replaying in my mind for days, though I do not know why. It is among my most favorite pieces of music. Because it has been so prominent in my recent thought processes, I thought I’d memorialize that fact on my blog.

  1. Colleen, you and I share tastes in music. I’m pleased that you find Dimming of the Day appealing. Justin Townes Earle’s death is a painful reminder that drugs is a scourge of the music industry. His musical talent and the musical genes he inherited from his father were not enough to protect him.

I’ve been on a Justin Townes Earle music binge this week. He just died at 38. Struggled with drugs since he was 12.

Wow, John, I’ve never heard that! I love it. Thanks for sharing. A great way to start my day!

I wish you would tell me what you think about this post...
