Look in a mirror and you’ll see a reflection.  Look into the eyes in that reflection and you’ll see eyes that saw everything you’ve ever seen.  Every smile, every scowl, every spot on the pavement, every bird in flight.  Everything. They have been with you every step of the way, something you can’t necessarily say about your brain, the brain that lets you down repeatedly, failing to remember the things that brains are supposed to remember. But that’s not a reflection on you; that’s a reflection of the fact that there’s just too much to remember and too little worth remembering.
