Texture.
Food has it. Bed sheets have it. The pavement on the road has it. My skin has it.
I wondered whether water has texture. Based on my understanding of the term, and from my perspective, it seems that the surface of water might have texture. And water that has undergone freezing certainly has it.
Looking back at one’s life from the vantage point of experience and elapsed time, life has texture, too. Looking ahead, one can imagine the texture of one’s future, one’s as-yet-unlived life. I can work toward the texture I want that to have.
