Last Tears

You think you’ve seen and felt the pain of loneliness?  No, you haven’t.

Real loneliness can be felt only at that very last moment, the breath that won’t be taken again.  It’s only then that mortality becomes real.  And by then, it doesn’t matter whether you’ve seen and understood it.  By then, it doesn’t matter.

The tears of regret don’t last long. Unless you shed them long before that last moment.  I guess we all do, don’t we?
