I do not understand people who believe empathy and sympathy are signs of weakness. I do not understand people for whom dominion over others is the only sign of strength. If I were a better man, I would try to understand those people. Instead, I simply loathe them.

Or, maybe she whipped those comic book together as a youngster, prior to leaving Russia?? Do you think? 😉
No, Juan. You mean there is one than one Ayn Rand? 😉
Are you referring to Ayn Rand, the comic book writer? 😉
Maybe we need to also keep in mind the huge influence that Ayn Rand perpetuated in the ruling class mentality…
Yes, I suppose it is straightforward; lust for power and greed for money are inextricably intertwined. Juan, there is a book in there, waiting to spring forth! Go for it, my friend!
Greed motivates them.
In Florida, for example, Lopez -Cantera has been selected as Lt. Governor. As one already steeped in political chicanery, Florida sinks deeper into the ideological boiling pot that is brimming between the powerful and the powerless. We are, indeed, becoming the banana republic for which Americans held so much discontent.
Now Christie — the boss-hog of New Jersey and whose political faction punishes disagreement with bullying, tyrannical tactics — is invited to join in Governor Rick Scott’s support.
It should make apparent to us all the unconscionable separation between the rich and the growing population of poor: Job gains are masked with lies, or they are at least replaced with propaganda that “part-time labor is acceptable for full time labor,” or that those without work are deserving of no work. This powerful faction talks of pulling up ourselves by our boot-straps while our boot-straps are being removed.
In the meantime, union vestiges (small as they are in Florida) — essentially a 3rd party watchman over the powerfully gross — are pushed out of the business of our state so that these wretched rich can continue stealing from our state government. They claim to be working for state rights, but the truth of the matter is that are busy isolating Florida for new tactics in mafia theft — from our schools, from systems of proper health care, from the business of efficient systems of rail.
This separation between the rich and the poor should make apparent the need to vote Scott and his henchmen out of office.
It is greed that motivates them. Nothing short of greed!
There are some people who think life is built around competition, and therefore they must win. There are some people who think life is built around cooperation, and therefore they try to cope. Unfortunately, the dominionists are willing to do anything to enhance their positions, including destroying anything and everything in their path to victory. Yeah, I think I understand them, and it’s pretty creepy.
Agreed. Seems to me this type of individual suffers a fundamental void. Not only are they hurtful, but are quite capable of damaging all in their path.
It’s hard to understand what motivates some people.
