Fifty-Eight

If you allow it, an ugly passion will grow in you, a passion striving to suffocate the goodness in people around you, people you know and people you don’t.  If you allow it, this ugly passion will consume you and burn through the fuel your soul supplies without intending to fan the flames. All I can tell you is “be aware,” understand that your heart, your soul, your humanity and every shred of goodness in you can be consumed by these ugly flames, if you let it happen. Your role, as keeper of the faith in humanity, is to fight with every fiber of your being to extinguish the flames that attempt to consume those pieces of goodness within you.
