Today, I’m thinking of the aphorism attributed to Lord John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton:
“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
While I agree, on principle, there are days I think I would greatly appreciate being absolutely corrupt.
