February 17: Thoughts for the Day

There is such a small circle of people who are really important in one’s day-to-day life. Those are the people for whom one should be prepared to sacrifice almost anything. Beyond that small circle, there are incrementally larger numbers of circles of people who matter. At some stage, as we watch the number of circles grow, we realize there’s a point beyond which the happiness of the members of some of those circles is not a high priority. And that should be reason to sit back and reflect on that point and what it means.
