So, today, I begin my pottery-making in earnest. Yesterday, I attended my first (and last) drawing class. The instructor’s demeanor, coupled with her plan for the class, turned me off. I opted to drop the class; I am sure I can find artists closer to me, and more attuned to feeding someone else’s ego than their own, to teach me what I need to know.
I hope I can stick with this. I have an unrequited need to create. And I need help getting the mechanical skills and creative perspective necessary to do it right.
