August 2: Thoughts for the Day

If I had all the answers, I would know how to respond to all my questions.

Last night, we met many neighbors at an event organized in our “honor” to welcome us to the neighborhood.  Wine, hors d’oeuvre, and conversation. Appreciative for the invitation and glad to have met some nice people.  A direct result of the event: I will join a “bunch of guys” for breakfast on Tuesday, after which we will converge on a neighbor’s workshop to do woodworking.  I am a novice.  I will be trained. I have been assured I will be welcomed and made to feel part of the group, despite my lack of woodworking experience.

This morning, we host friends from years ago, who will arrive around 11:00 a.m.  It’s been 15 years or so; it will be an interesting experience.  After they head home, we join other friends, locally, for an evening of grilling and chilling.

I have so many questions.  Where ARE all those answers?
