January 12: Thoughts for the Day

We measure ourselves against clocks we had no part in creating. Age is a construct we use as a metric of achievement or, conversely, as a measure of what we have not achieved. Until there is no more to measure, we have not reached the limit; the clock  is, and should be, nothing more than a reminder of all the efforts we have yet to make.
