Forty-Three

I feel sorry for Brian Williams, the NBC news anchor who has been suspended without pay for six months for an exaggerated tale of reporting under fire from Iraq. I don’t approve, but I think it’s possible his memory really might have morphed into a lie.  He deserves sympathy and empathy and support.  He does need to be away from the news, but he should not be pilloried, especially by people whose sins are far more egregious than his.

Agreed. Besides, I don’t think it harmed anyone over the past, what, dozen years. A good barometer for people to remember.
