The Leap

It is becoming much more real now, this impending move.  A few days ago, we met with the realtor to discuss pricing, presentation, and the schedule for having a photographer in to get the shots to be used online and in promotional flyers.  It’s a little disconcerting, this process: taking steps to sell the house without having made firm plans about where we’ll go when the buyers, whoever they will be, take possession.  Oh, we know the direction toward which we’re leaning, but nothing is cast in stone.  Once the papers are signed and the place belongs to someone else, there’s no turning back.  There’s a certain degree of fear inherent in that process.  It’s a leap of faith, I guess, that we’ll be able to make decisions, the right decisions, when the time comes.
