Now

Never before have we experienced a February 1, 2017 like this one. And never will we again. This is our one and only chance to take advantage of all that February 1, 2017 has to offer. This tiny slice of time—carved off the outer edges of an infinitesimal fraction of an almost invisible sliver of a moment too fleeting to be noticed except through our monstrously brief experience—represents every hope and every dream and every fear we’ve ever felt. Today. Now. This instant. It’s all we have. History is unbending. The future is not assured. We have only now. But that’s true of every moment, isn’t it? The accounting of our treasury relies, always, on how we bank the only moment available to us.
