Glaze and Fire

I think Robin must have been right; the world is not a just place.  If it were, I would have kicked the sick a couple of days ago.  Alas, injustice and illness go hand in hand, it seems. I’m better, but not much better, than I was Sunday night.  This stomach bug, or whatever, lingers.

That notwithstanding, I have pots to glaze and fire. Two mugs and a slab pot, to be precise, as well as a monstrously ugly raku tiki head I created for my “sculpture” project. Oh, and a Cone 6 mask (that is to differentiate the clay from raku  clay).  I may not get all these things glazed and fired before the semester ends next week.  That will be a drag.

But, I will give it the good old community college try, as I slouch off to school this morning, hoping my gut permits me to avoid commode hugging at least until 1:00 p.m.

  1. Thanks, Robin. It’s still hanging on, but there are signs of improvement.
