Awakening to Things to Do

The sound of rolling thunder awakened me this morning.  Sometime during the night, more explosive crashes of thunder, accompanied by heavy rain, jarred me from my sleep, but only briefly enough to know of the storm. This morning, though, the timing of the sound coincided with my internal clock; though a bit earlier than I might have wanted, I was up for the day.

My immediate desire was for coffee…a strong mug of French roast with enough caffeine to jolt me into thinking.  That led me to realize the rain washed out my plan for the day to complete the process of filling driveway cracks here and at my sister-in-law’s house.  Regardless of the rain, though, I still must go to her house to remove some deadbolts and take them to a locksmith for new keys.  My wife will house-sit the temporarily lockless house while I do the deed.

Before I wrote this post, and my Thoughts for the Day, I played thirteen games of Words with Friends.  I could while away hours doing such unproductive things; in fact, I do.
